Necromancers study death and the afterlife, gaining a range of unique powers based on limited control over death and the dead. These powers may be respectful and peaceful, such as speaking with dead ancestors, or they may take on a darker tone, such as summoning the undead into battle or sucking the life out of an enemy for the necromancer's own use. Few others understand the necromancer, for his day-to-day realm of death is visited just one time by most mortals.
